I am an amateur artist and photographer based in South Yorkshire, UK. My love of nature and wildlife tends to show in both artwork and photography, and, fortunately, living in South Yorkshire means I have excellent access to some outstanding areas of natural beauty and an abundant array of wildlife. Of course, the world is a big beautiful place, so I don't turn down opportunities to go further a field.
My artwork focuses mostly on animal and human portraiture, however, I enjoy turning my hand to other subject matters from anime to landscapes. I work mostly in pastels, Unison and Derwent being my favourite brands, but I also like working with oil paints and acrylics.
My photography is very much based around nature and wildlife with a lot of emphasis on macro work. The tiny details of insects are a constant source of fascination. While I do a little black and white photography, colour is very important in my work.
